Essano Superfoods Review

If you aren’t familiar with Essano they’re vegan, cruelty-free, organic, made here in New Zealand and my favourite skincare product! The new Essano Superfoods range has rejuvenated my skin from dull to more vibrant and fewer breakouts. So what’s the secret? The Superfoods range combines the natural power of raw, organic, cold-pressed plant extracts. The superhero ingredients include Kale, Cinnamon, and Turmeric. Who knew vegetables could be so good for your face? The result is refreshed glowing skin!

Check out my review of my favourite products below.

Certified Organic Turmeric Creme Cleanser

I’ve used the Turmeric Creme Cleanser for a few weeks now. It has such a smooth texture and includes ingredients like Olive, Jojoba, Alo Vera and it’s soap-free. Turmeric is known to energise, soothe and reduce inflammation. The turmeric isn’t overpowering and who doesn’t love a delicious smelling face after a long day?

Cinnamon Revitalising Face Exfoliator

Cinnamon helps to detoxify, repairs impurities, acne, pimples and blemishes. The Cinnamon Revitalising Face Exfoliator has certainly decreased pimples and gets rid of them much quicker. This exfoliator is my favourite from Essano so far and is a big winner compared to brands like Clearasil which have harsher chemicals and cause even more breakouts. I use my Cinnamon Exfoliator about three to four times a week and I pair it with my Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa for best results which I’ve added in further down.

Certified Organic Kale Nourishing Oil

I use the Kale Nourishing Oil around three to five times a week and I’ve definitely noticed dewier looking skin! Ingredients include Blackcurrant Seed Oil for a natural glow, Rosemary improves circulation and Evening Primrose Oil hydrates and deeply nourishes. After cleansing at night I apply around three drops on my hand (the bottle is tiny so you don’t need much) for mainly my cheeks, chin and forehead. Followed by Essano moisturiser and my Essano Visible Lift Eye Creme.

Kale Daily Moisturiser

Essano did a giveaway for a mini Kale Daily Moisturiser and of course, I got in there quick. The Kale Daily Moisturiser is full of antioxidants including Kale protein, Carrot, and Alo Vera. Plus, Vitamin C and Vitamin E help repair skin and boost hydration, elasticity and collagen production. It’s also really great for the elbows especially when they get dry in cold weather.

Kale Regenerating Night Creme

I’ve never liked eating Kale so having the Kale Regenerating Night Creme is way better! In winter when the weather gets cold the skin around my eyes can become sensitive and dry so this creme helps combat that. The ingredients include Kale, Carrot that repairs, Aloe Vera soothes and Rocket protects skin from damage. After cleansing and Facial oil apply the Kale night creme and wake up with refreshed vibrant skin!

Turmeric Certified Organic Face Mask

After a long busy week, there really isn’t anything better than relaxing with a face mask. The Turmeric Certified Organic Face Mask also has Curcumin which helps fight signs of ageing which is amazing because I certainly need it for the dark circles under my eyes. I use my Essano face mask once a week and leave on for 15 minutes. Followed with Essano Superfoods Serum, Facial Oil or moisturiser for luscious skin.

Certified Organic Cinnamon Detoxifying Mask

The first time I used the Cinnamon Detoxifying Mask I put a little bit too much and it went all over my dressing gown. I learnt only a thin layer is needed. Ingredients include Cinnamon, Aloe Vera and Shea Butter. Again, leave this mask on for about 10-15 minutes followed by facial oil or Essano moisturiser. I like to switch it up between the two face masks each week based on how my skin looks or feels.

Ultimate Skin Spa

I thought I would add in The Ultimate Skin Spa which works so well with Essano products. I spotted it for around $59 on Onceit. It’s helped so much to get rid of dirt and dead skin cells. The skin spa has three brush heads including a cleansing brush, exfoliating brush, and a silicone brush which is great for dry and sensitive skin types. The ultimate skin spa simply needs 2 AA batteries and it has two setting types with slow or fast.

With the Ultimate Skin Spa, I remove any makeup first with my Take It Off makeup removal towel. I use the Ultimate Skin spa around two times a week once with my Essano cleaner and my Essano exfoliator. Simply wash the brush heads after each use with warm water and they’ll be as good as new. The results are incredible! I highly recommend getting some sort of electric skin spa for your skin care routine.
