The New Plymouth Frocks on Bikes group were back in action last week for a polka dot ride to commerate Anzac Day.
About 30 people met at Te Rewa Rewa Bridge and rode to the Wind Wand and back to the Big Wave Cafe at East End.

The frock ladies Jen Harries, Bec Kapernick who helped organised the ride, say the group gets together every now and then for themed rides.
Themes were mostly chosen to give people a chance to put a frock on, get on a bike and have a good time.
“It was heaps of fun. We got a lot of public attention, everyone sort of stopped and asked what we were doing,” said Ms Kapernick of the Anzac ride.
As part of the event cyclists made a gold coin donation to the Taranaki RSA.
New Plymouth teacher Marion Lapwood who joined the ride said it was great fun.
“There was a lot of positive and collective woman’s energy,” she said.
The Art House Cinema sponsored the ride and awarded the best-dressed cyclist two free tickets to a movie.
New Plymouth Frocks on Bikes, which is affiliated to similar groups around the country, has a website that publicises upcoming events and anyone interested in joining is welcome.
